  • Recycled materials will be chosen wherever practical
  • Waste leaving the house is to be controlled, recycled and minimised as much as possible
  • Water will be harvested and recycled on site where practical
  • Provision will be provided to allow organic material to be recycled on site

  • Materials are to be as environmentally benign as possible
  • Materials contributing to Sick Building Syndrome and VOC off-gassing will be minimised
  • Daylight will be introduced to as many area as is practical
  • Controlled natural ventilation is to be incorporated in the passive solar design

  • Systems will be implemented to collect practical feedback on energy, gas and water use, to assist in post occupancy evaluation
